Our Work

The following initiatives are powered by the REAL Platform:

Evidence Synthesis Network

  • A collaborative COVID-19 response initiative by Ontario’s research and knowledge production community, we collectively offer relevant and timely synthesized research evidence to inform decision-makers as the pandemic continues.

Science Table

  • The Ontario COVID-19 Science Advisory Table is a group of scientific experts and health system leaders who evaluate and report on emerging evidence relevant to the COVID-19 pandemic, to inform Ontario’s response. Additional partners include the Ontario COVID-19 Modelling Consensus Table. They are a group of scholars and professionals who are using advanced modelling methodologies to generate estimates around incidence, prevalence, and the spread of COVID-19 in Ontario and its impact on health and the health system. The Science Tables mandate is to provide weekly summaries of relevant scientific evidence for the COVID-19 Health Command Table of the Province of Ontario, integrating information from existing scientific tables, Ontario’s universities and agencies, and the best global evidence. The Science Table summarizes its findings for the Health Command Table and for the public in Science Briefs.

REAL is a proud supporter of CanCOVID

  • CanCOVID is an expert network of Canadian COVID-19 researchers, clinical collaborators, and healthcare stakeholders from across the country. Canada’s Chief Science Officer mandated the creation of CanCOVID to expedite communication and collaboration between the scientific, healthcare and policy communities during the COVID-19 crisis.
